ABOUT THESE ARRANGEMENTS
For years, distinguished collaborative pianist Carol Leybourn has been listening to orchestrations of concertos, then improvising to approximate the actual orchestral sound while reading standard piano accompaniments. In teaching piano for over 40 years, she has helped many pianists decide what to "leave out" of the existing available note-filled piano reductions. Ms. Leybourn is now presenting a printed version of her orchestral reductions, making them accessible to the intermediate pianist, to the string teacher with modest pianistic skills and to the busy accompanist with limited practice time.
